Introduction

Over the years up to eighty entries have participated representing schools, churches, sporting clubs, service clubs, cultural groups, and a variety of recreational organisations.

In 1979 Charlie Catania’s float, representing the Maltese community, was also a winner in the Moomba Parade. He later went on to run workshop sessions for interested community groups demonstrating how to construct a float.
